Hi all, most of you know the Chequers Inn has a rich history, and I believe a lot of residual energy flying around the place due to this, and let's not forget Beryl/Brenda or what all call her the friendly playful poltergeist... I have even had my own experiences with this, things I cannot explain!

We have decided to try and hold a evening of clairvoyance with Eddie. He will be doing an open session show, but before this Eddie will be doing private readings for all.

Tickets on sale now, and also sold on the night, only £12.50.

Hope we see all on the 24th of August 😄

Once the Bombardier runs dry, we will be adding another Hobgoblin, a darker one to the pale, called Ruby at 4.5%

We are doing Sunday Roast again this week, a little different from last week. We apologise for the Yorkshire Pudding as it was a mix from Marstons that we should use (guess what we said no chance) We are now making our own and will be delighted to see you all.

Also, until the new chef starts and beds in, we will continue to start the kitchen at 4pm throughout the week.

Monday - kitchen closed - pub open 4pm
Tues - all closed
Wed - kitchen open & pub - 4pm
Thurs - kitchen open & pub - 4pm
Fri - kitchen open & pub - 4pm
Sat - pub open from 12 - kitchen 12 until 8pm
Sun - pub open from 12 - kitchen 12 until 4pm

A massive thank you to all that came for their Sunday roast, safe to say that its was a success, with some great feedback, which we will take on board.

We will be running the Sunday roast this coming Sunday...

We now have a new Chef starting on 01/08/26 - we will continue to do a reduced menu which will run Wednesday to Sunday, with the kitchen being closed Monday and Tuesday.

We will be adding dishes from the Marston's menu to try and keep things fresh...

Also, Tues for the next few weeks we will be closing, so that myself and Hayley will get a day off to recharge our batteries, this seems to be the quietest night. 😃

Thank you again for your patience while we get things set-up; the kitchen is notoriously hard to get up and running, and finding the right Chef is always testing everywhere we have worked.

We will get there!

We will be closing the kitchen at 7pm tonight for the football, we will be serving beef burgers/chicken from 8pm while the football is on.

Come and cheer England and hope we can at least be the 3rd best team in the world...
