10 reasons why we think The Pink House is super special 💗
Right in the heart of Dartmouth, with Foss Street on the doorstep and the river just two minutes away — we feel very lucky to call this little house ours.
People stop to admire her pretty pink front all the time, and it still makes us smile. With 1705 marked on the house, a Grade II listing and a history thought to be linked to Dartmouth’s jail, there are plenty of stories here too.
We love the local tradition that leftover boat paint gave Dartmouth’s houses their lovely colours. These days, ours wears Farrow & Ball’s Middleton Pink. 🌸
Then there are the little things: the cobbled steps beside the house, sunshine through the sash windows and St Saviour’s bells chiming opposite. Yes, even through the night — we love their charm!
My little boy’s favourite? The tiny attic bedroom, like his own little cabin, complete with its own staircase.
