While getting our yurt ready for the season, we peeked underneath and found a whole family of hedgehogs making themselves at home! 🦔🦔🦔

Luckily, the wonderful team at Prickles in a Pickle came to the rescue and helped us make sure these little visitors were safe and cared for.

We can't blame them for choosing such a cosy spot! ❤️

Holiday Park Safety Checker - Permanent Position
Part-Time, approx. 15 hours per week

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Holiday Park Safety Checker at our holiday park. This is a hands-on, varied role that is vital to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

You will carry out regular, scheduled checks across the park, including on changeover days and throughout the week, recording all findings accurately using a dedicated app on a provided device.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Changeover Day Checks
• Test and record all smoke alarms in accommodation units
• Check and log hot and cold water temperatures (Legionella compliance)
• Inspect accommodation units for any safety concerns

Regular Checks Throughout the Week
• Test hot tub chemical levels and record results
• Inspect all park fencing for damage or hazards
• Check roads and pathways for damage, obstructions, or safety issues
• Carry out vehicle safety checks (valid driving licence required)
• Inspect and manage waste bins — emptying, repositioning, or reporting as needed
• Check all camping electrical hook-up points for safety and condition
• Inspect ladders for damage and safe storage
• Check all fire extinguishers are in place, undamaged, and within service dates

Record Keeping
• Record all checks, findings, and any remedial actions taken using our H&S app
• Flag and report any defects, hazards, or concerns to management promptly

What We're Looking For
• A keen eye for detail and a conscientious, thorough approach to work
• Good time management; able to complete checks to a schedule independently
• Confident using a smartphone or tablet app (training will be provided)
• A full, valid UK driving licence - essential!
• A responsible attitude to health and safety (formal H&S qualifications are not required, but relevant experience is welcome)
• Physically able to walk the park and carry out practical inspections

Full-Time Site Maintenance & Grounds Assistant wanted at Leonards Cove Holiday Village!

Are you a reliable, practical, and hands-on person who takes pride in doing a job properly? Do you enjoy working outdoors, fixing things with a great eye for detail, and being part of a friendly, family-run team? If so, Leonards Cove Holiday Village wants you!
Set on a stunning clifftop overlooking the South Devon coastline, our holiday park offers a peaceful, beautiful environment where your skills and initiative will make a real difference every day.

The Role:
This is a varied, full-time position where no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in everything needed to keep the park looking great, safe, and welcoming — from grounds maintenance and minor repairs to helping out with accommodation preparations during busy times.

Your key tasks will include:
-Carrying out basic plumbing and electrical repairs with precision and care
-Keeping accommodation in top condition by spotting and sorting the small jobs that make a big difference for guests
-Chopping logs and managing firewood supplies
-Mowing, strimming, weeding, and light landscaping to keep the grounds immaculate
-Sweeping and cleaning outdoor communal areas to maintain a tidy environment
-Identifying and resolving minor maintenance issues quickly and efficiently
-Working safely with tools and equipment across the park
-Reporting larger maintenance needs and collaborating with the team to solve problems

What We’re Looking For:
-A physically fit, practical person who enjoys hands-on work outdoors in all weather
-Someone with good attention to detail — able to silicone showers, do neat repairs, and leave everything looking polished
-A flexible, reliable team player who can also work independently and take initiative
-Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or accommodation support preferred but not essential.
-Comfortable with manual tasks like chopping logs and carrying equipment
-Willing to work full-time (40 hours per week) including alternate weekends and busy periods
-Full UK driving licence is crucial
