If you hear singing coming from the kitchen this June… don’t worry, service is still running perfectly.

That’s just our Head Chef Dom doing what he does best, cooking seriously impressive food while absolutely belting it out like he’s auditioning for The Voice or headlining Glastonbury on the Pyramid Stage.

He’s young and fully committed to the vocals. Fortunately, he applies the same energy to the food, which is a good thing, because the real star of the show is what lands on your plate.

From working in the French Alps to some of London’s best restaurants, Dom’s culinary journey has brought him back to his native Darwen, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him in our kitchen. He is known for his technical ability and creativity, and his genuine passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences results in dishes that are both memorable and beautifully executed. The singing is free. The food is the real masterpiece.

Last night at Astley Bank, trust issues were created, friendships were questioned, and innocent people were accused with remarkable confidence. 👀

In other words... Round Table: A Murder Mystery was a huge success.

The faithful weren't always faithful, the traitors weren't always subtle, and some of the theories being thrown around would have made excellent detective novels.

A huge thank you to the fantastic team at Wish Upon A Star Productions & Events for delivering such an immersive and brilliantly organised evening. From the first accusation to the final reveal, they kept everyone entertained, suspicious, and completely hooked.

And, of course, thank you to all of our guests who threw themselves into the game. Your commitment to accusing your friends, partners, and complete strangers was truly inspiring. By 10pm, nobody trusted anybody. You helped create an unforgettable atmosphere, and your acting skills were suspiciously good. We’ll be keeping an eye on you.

We loved every unhinged minute. Thank you all. See you at the next one.

So, one month from today, we’re opening the doors for our Wedding Open Evening at Astley Bank Hotel.
