I was on my daily dog walk this morning and called into the Boat Shop at Bottom Lock and bought this lovely print which I’ve had my eye on for quite some time, finally bought it and popped in a frame.

We discovered a rich history in Daventry (just 3 miles from Braunston). Daventry used to be full of coaching inns. 70 carriages a day on route to Coventry, Birmingham and Ireland would stopover. King Charles I stayed in Daventry just before the battle of Naseby. Who knew!
