The 16 bed Cider Barn and 28 bed Nut Tree Farm also have private outdoor swimming pools for the summer. The Not Forgotten have been coming to stay at Ashcombe Country Cottages since 2020 during the lock-down era - when they were unable to travel abroad. Apart from getting 28 people to stay at Nut Tree Farm (that cottage's maximum capacity) what else can we do to mark Rosie's 28 years of dedicated service?

Danny nearly went for an unscheduled dip this morning when doing indoor pool maintenance.

He suggested checking the CCTV playback if we wanted marvel at his 60 year old athletic prowess. He reports that his foot didn't even get wet.

The 2025 Village Olympics is this Bank Holiday Sunday 24th August

Come along to witness the spectacle of the Silly Games. The Village Olympics started a few years ago and was designed to run on Olympic years, however it proved to be such fun that everyone now wants to do it MOST years!

In 2025 we will see seven teams of 10 people fighting it out to be crowned rural champions. Even if you are not a highly trained athelete taking part, there’s plently of BBQ goodness and beer to further hone your physique into that perfect competor you always thought you should be.

The Village Olympics, like all Ashcombe Village Club events, is raising money for the AVC’s incredible charitable donations. This small village community has distributed over £125,000 to local charities and good causes since 2012.

The Village Olympics are this Sunday 24th August at the Ashcombe Village Club. Come along to enjoy the rural silly games!

Sunday 20th is the Ashcombe Village Fete 10am - 4pm. Lots of fun for all the family!
