The Little Mermaid holiday cottage is over 200 years old and will accommodate 6 people comfortably. The Cottage Is situated in the centre of Dawlish town and offers a spacious living area with all the home comforts you need.
Little Mermaid Cottage is available throughout the year and is on a level location. It has gas central heating and is double glazed to keep your family warm on those chilly winter nights. In addition the Cottage is newly decorated and carpeted, Although there is no garden, the kitchen door leads to a driveway for disposal bins and parking for one car.
Sleeping Space-
The Pink Bedroom is the Master double bedroom of the cottage, it includes a double bed, TV, chest of draws, wardrobe and much more.
The Blue bedroom is another double bedroom but containing two single beds instead of the double. both of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished.
Living Room & Dining-
Downstairs we have a cozy lounge that has an inglenook fireplace with a comfy suite, digital TV, music centre. and Wi-Fi throughout.
The charming dining room has an electric fire, solid wood table to seat 6 people, double futon for 2 extra people.
Kitchen & Bathroom-
Downstairs has the fully fitted gally kitchen containing with all the necessities for comfortable living for up-to 6 people.
Upstairs we have a bathroom with large bath and shower, boiler and airing cupboard containing extra bedding if needed.
Finally there is a small toilet which is adjacent to the bedrooms.
Local Area-
Little Mermaid cottage is situated in the heart of Dawlish, just a stones throw away from local pubs, convienence stores, cafe's and much more.
Five minutes walk to the left of the cottage you have the Manor Gardens which is a beautiful park ideal for picnic's or to just laze about with your cream tea's! watching the day go by. Even the little ones will be entertained with the space to run about and the play park at the top of the path.
To the right of the cottage you are at the top of the historic town centre and as you make your way down there are a number of chain and independant shops you can browse in. Also there is the lawned area which plays host to many events including the annual dawlish carnival week!
Once down at the sea front, you can enjoy the extensive picturesque shoreline in both directions. To the left, a leisurely sea wall walk takes you to the famed long sandy bathing beaches of Dawlish Warren, skirting the entrance of the Exe Estuary, and its nature reserve full of rare flowers, unusual birds and hidden ponds. To the right takes you to Coryton Cove, along the famous 'atmospheric' railway line, past the bright row of beach huts and to the Edwardian gentleman's sandy bathing bay, complete with a small cafe and interesting rockpools to explore.
Dawlish is also approximately 9 miles from the historic city of Exeter and a 15 minute drive to the gateway of Dartmoor and all the fascinating places this has to offer. Teignmouth is further along the coast, as are the renowned Dartmouth, Torquay and Brixham areas.
