**The Hennessy Partnership - Story Time with Tom Wroe & Poppy Walk**

Here at the Hennessy Partnership, we have had a peaceful afternoon over at Tom Wroe & Poppy Walk, filled with stories, conversation and quiet moments 📚☀️
Our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon reading, sharing information from the newspapers and reading stories from books. Activities like reading help encourage conversation, relaxation, and creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
There is nothing quite like the comfort of a good book and good company 🧡

**The Hennessy Partnership - National Walking Month with Bishops Way**

Here at The Hennessy Partnership, we like to participate in National days and months. This month some of our residents over at Bishops Way have been walking in our local community and within the home, to maintain their mobility and to take part in National Walking Month. This is a good way for our residents to maintain their health, promoting good daily exercise and allowing them to take a stroll around their lovely village of Meltham.

**The Hennessy Partnership - Supporting Mental Health Awareness Week with Rye House & Bishops Way**

Here at The Hennessy Partnership, across our services, we actively support the national Mental Health Awareness Week. Our sister homes Rye House & Bishops Way have been discussing Mental Health, wishing to showcase their pictures from a busy week. Our Service Managers and staff talked about different diagnoses within our homes and supported these discussions by delivering activities based around mental health. This allowed us to support each other, ensuring all our residents could participate in the week's activities.

Promoting active research and education by reading booklets and leaflets regarding mental health, colouring, jigsaws, walks around the local neighborhoods and conversing over a running buffet and light refreshments added to our shared knowledge.

Here at The Hennessy Partnership, we are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our team, supported by our contractor and vendors, for the launch of our new home Sandy Court. On Wednesday 6th May, we ceremoniously had the Lord Mayoress of Wakefield cut the ribbon on our new service, which welcomed our local residents and wider community to view our new home.

As we await CQC commissioning, we continue to work behind the scenes to finalise Sandy Court, ahead of welcoming our first residents.

**The Hennessy Partnership - Fun Time Activities with Rye House**

Here at The Hennessy Partnership, there has been lots of fun and laughter in the gorgeous weather over at Rye House. Our residents had a fantastic time playing the ever-popular Granny Pants ball game, bringing out everyone’s competitive side in the best way possible!
From aiming skills, to quick reactions, it was wonderful to see such great coordination (and plenty of giggles along the way!).
We also made the most of the fresh air, with outdoor activities, keeping both minds and bodies engaged. Spending time outside not only boosts mood but helps with focus, movement, and overall wellbeing, and our residents certainly embraced every moment.
It’s days like these that remind us how important fun, connection, and staying active are for everyone

**The Hennessy Partnership - Welcome to Sandy Court**

Here at The Hennessy Partnership, we are so proud to be able to open our doors to our new state of the art, flagship service, and welcome you to our brand-new home.
Sandy Court is based in Ossett, Wakefield, specialising in Mental Health & Complex Care.

Our new 36 bedded home has been fine tuned to provide the most outstanding level of care, with a high spec interior, thanks in part to the committed Hennessy Partnership team, working in conjunction with BMC building & landscapes.

On Wednesday 6th May at 11am, we officially open our doors, supported by the Lord Mayoress of Wakefield, with ceremonial ribbon cutting.

We cordially invite you to join us on site, for light refreshments and the chance to see what The Hennessy Partnership has to offer.

Meet our fantastic Senior Leadership Team and our experienced Service Manager Yasmin Khan who can provide more information and guidance on the support we can offer your loved one.

Here at The Hennessy Partnership, our residents over at Rye House enjoyed a wonderful portrait drawing session
There’s something truly special about sitting down together, observing one another, and capturing those unique features that make each person who they are. From careful pencil strokes to moments of laughter when a sketch took an unexpected turn, the room was full of creativity and connection.
Activities like these aren’t just about art, they’re about expression, confidence, and sharing stories without needing words. It was fantastic to see everyone encouraging each other and taking pride in their work.
We’re so proud of our talented residents and the beautiful atmosphere they create every day
