The Area

Denbigh castle is a must see on a sunny day for a picnic and with views across the whole Vale of Clwyd, from the Hiraethog Moors to the Clwydian Range. There is also the less know Town Walls - Much of the wall still stands, along with the remains of a number of towers and two gatehouses. Of these, the Burgess Gate to the north is the best preserved. The key to access the wall walks is free and available from Denbigh Castle for pre-booked visits only. Denbigh is set in a central location in North Wales and is a great base to see it all - from the mountains of Snowdonia to the many beaches we have to offer. Zip World is just up the road and Llangollen aqueduct is just down the road where you will pass the stunning views of Horseshoe Pass.
