We offer a range of experiences from Blending to tasting. Our Story From Infancy To Present Day
The seed of an idea was planted many moons ago by Martin Agius, founder of various restaurants, brasseries & a hotel, over the last 35 years. In 2011, a small but considered gin shelf, consisting of ten bottles within The Cotswold Plough Hotel, evolved into The Gin Pantry that we know today. It consis
ts of a dedicated room, cascading with bottles of Gin from all over the World. Guests are invited to open & smell the various bottles to aid their choice & knowledgeable staff, are on stand by, to help if needed. As you can imagine, the combinations available with so many different tonics & bitters on offer; are endless. We often get asked, ‘‘Should one put in lemon, lime, mint or even lavender?’’ The answer is, talk to us about what you like, & let us recommend, or why not experiment with different blends, & discover something new each time. Always keen to keep the collection growing, customers are challenged to call, before their arrival, to check whether a specific gin is within the Library. If not and it passes the Gin Connoisseurs seal of approval, punters are given a free three course meal at The Cotswold Plough in return for bringing the bottle with them. The Gin Connoisseurs have been so excited about Gin, that they have launched a series of Gin Experiences, all of which can be bought online in the form of fantastic Gift Vouchers. Each creates a novel present for those individuals that are a nightmare to buy for, as they have it all, or simply a treat for yourself, or for any Gin lover you know! The Gin Pantry has started to get legs too! During the Festive Season of 2015 it made its debut outing to a series of famous Christmas shopping events throughout the Cotswold’s. The Gin Pantry has also created dramatic focal points at wedding receptions during the evening entertainment. If you fancy a Gin Bar at one of your celebrations, (Wedding, Birthday Party etc.) then do get in touch, with the Gin Connoisseurs. They would only be too delighted to hear from you.
