Button Cottage A gorgeous character 3-bedroom Holiday Cottage, perfectly located for exploring North Norfolk

Curl up on the sofa in front of a roaring log burner, snuggle down in the king-sized bed in the vaulted master bedroom or bathe in the luxurious roll-top freestanding bath... this fantastic cottage has everything for a perfect stay. The cottage is over 150 years old and has can sleep 5 in 3 bedrooms. There is a king size bedroom, a double bedroom, both of which have direct access to the luxury bat

hroom with free standing bath, and a separate shower cubicle with powerful digital shower. There is also a single bedroom which has its own spiral staircase bedrooms, making this a perfect retreat for one or two couples, or a family. Guest Access

There's a courtyard garden which is great for breakfast or morning coffee, and guests also have access to the larger cottage garden with views over farmland. Interaction with Guests

A Local Recommendations book and local leaflets are provided so guests can explore for themselves. The Neighbourhood

Twyford is a tiny hamlet between Fakenham and Norwich, but nearby are some great local finds - including Algy's Farm Shop, Hamptons at the Barns (great for afternoon tea or an amazing Sunday Roast), and the North Norfolk Coast is just 20 minutes drive, where you can easily access Wells next the Sea, Holkham, Burnham, Brancaster, Cley, etc. Getting Around

Button Cottage has off-road parking for 1/2 cars, and being situated close to the A1067, is perfect for exploring by car. There is also a bus-stop approx. 0.5 miles / 10 minutes walk away serving both Fakenham and Norwich. Other Things to Note

There are two staircases in the property - one spiral, and one Norfolk winding staircase. The Double Bedroom is accessed via the Single Bedroom which, so the cottage is perfect for one or two couples, or a family.

We’re just gearing up for our first guests of 2022!

Button Cottage does usually host guests in January / February, but we decided to block the cottage out for 2 months so we could have a brand new kitchen fitted!

We’ve gone for gorgeous Shaker style units, with fab new oak worktops, and the old wall cupboards have been replaced with a fantastic run of matching oak shelves.

Losing the tall fridge freezer has given us more worktop space, and we are really pleased with it!

We’ve also treated the Cottage to a new kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, a fab Neff hide and slide oven, Bosch full sized dishwasher, as well as a new integrated fridge, new freezer and a Neff hob too!

The shelves are beautifully underlit, we’ve fitted our favourite Crosswater kitchen tap, and given the walls a fresh lick of F&B Purbeck Stone…

We hope our guests love it as much as we do :)

We've all been in lockdown for weeks now - but hopefully we'll all be starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel in the coming weeks, possibly months.

What is clear is that the travel situation will change drastically - as airlines and airports try to come to terms with everything they need to do to allow passengers to fly.

Staycations are definitely going to be the way forward - and, when non-essential travel is back on the 'allowed' list, North Norfolk will be top of many people's planned destinations.

Button Cottage will be ready and waiting, to provide that relaxing, cosy and comfortable 'home from home' - and we're looking forward to welcoming bookings - via Booking.com, AirBnB, or direct via our own website.

Button Cottage & COVID-19

We know that the outbreak of Corona Virus means an uncertain time for all...

Button Cottage is still "open for business" during this time. Our cleaning team are taking extra precautions - and you can rest assured that Button Cottage is not only visibly spotlessly clean, it is deep cleaned between guest visits too.

Twyford itself is very much 'far from the madding crowds' - and with full cooking facilities at Button Cottage, guests can be properly self-catering, and stay away from restaurants, pubs and coffee shops if they so wish.

To take account of the changing travel situation, on AirBnB, and on our own direct booking site, we have changed to a fully flexible cancellation policy - and are allowing guests to cancel free of charge at anytime up to 24h before arrival.

We have, of course, updated our availability to take into account newly available dates which some of our overseas customers can no longer fill - and, at the same time, are getting booking requests from UK visitors no longer able to travel abroad, particularly over the coming weeks...
..so if you're keen to visit North Norfolk, or are looking for a beautifully appointed luxury cottage to escape town/city life for a while, we'd be delighted to host you!
