🍂 Local Knowledge: Grianán of Aileach

One of the best views worth a visit when you stay at The White Horse is just over the boarder in Donegal.

Perched high above the surrounding countryside, Grianán of Aileach offers incredible views across Lough Foyle, Lough Swilly and the Inishowen Peninsula.

Explore the ancient stone fort, take a walk around the walls and, on a clear day, simply stop and take in the view.

It’s an easy drive from The White Horse and one we’re always happy to recommend to guests exploring a little further afield.

Today we’re celebrating the place we’re lucky enough to call home, and the people who help visitors experience it at its best.

From walking Derry’s historic walls and crossing the Peace Bridge to discovering our food, music, culture and the spectacular scenery of the North West, there’s always another reason to explore.
