Kitchen Assistant – Cefn Coed

🌿 Friday & Saturday evenings (5pm – close)
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cefn Coed.

🌿 About the role

A fast-paced, creative environment within our woodland campsite, serving wood-fired pizzas, Welsh pies, and seasonal dishes.

🌿 Duties include:

Assisting with food preparation and cooking
Supporting service during busy periods
Serving customers where needed
Occasionally assisting on the bar during peak times
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly

🌿 What we’re looking for:

Positive, can-do attitude
Ability to work under pressure
Team player with good communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability — campsite life can be busy, varied, and weather-dependent
Previous experience is a bonus, but not essential

🌿 What you’ll get:

Hands-on kitchen experience
Learn to cook authentic wood-fired pizzas — a highly sought-after skill that can open doors to working and travelling worldwide
Cocktail training provided
Supportive, creative working environment
Additional hours available throughout July and September when the kitchen is open daily

Join us for a day of rewilding and wild food foraging at Cefn Coed 🌿

Spend time moving slowly through the landscape, learning how to identify, gather and use edible plants growing all around us, guided by local expert Kara Moses.
A chance to reconnect with the land, pick up practical skills, and see the surroundings in a completely new way.
Open to everyone — you don’t need to be staying with us to join. Come for the morning, or make a day of it with coffee, food and time outdoors.

🌿 Join the Team at Cefn Coed Camping – Permanent Role Available 🌿

Love working outdoors and getting stuck into practical tasks? We’re looking for a capable, hands-on team member with excellent people skills to help keep Cefn Coed running smoothly.
This is a busy, varied role that includes guest check-ins, general site and facilities maintenance, and managing firewood and firepit hire.
It’s fast-paced during peak season, so we’re after someone who’s hardworking, dependable, and confident using their initiative to get things done.
During the quieter winter months, the focus shifts to site maintenance and eco-driven improvements as we continue to care for and develop the space.

This is a permanent position for the right person who’s happy to work as part of a small, focused team.
