The cottages have started whispering to me.
I walked in the other day and I swear the sofa cushions sighed, “Wouldn’t we look better with a Christmas throw?” The mantelpiece winked at me like it was begging for garlands. Even the kettle coughed in a way that suspiciously sounded like Jingle Bells.

Now here’s the problem: it’s September. Or is it October? (I’ve lost track, to be honest.) Either way, is it TOO SOON to surrender to the tinsel?

On one hand, I don’t want my guests to think I’ve gone full Buddy the Elf. On the other hand, nothing says “cosy getaway” like twinkly fairy lights, stockings that will never actually be filled, and a rogue bauble you’ll keep finding until Easter.

So, friends, help me out:
👉 Should I deck the halls now and let the festive magic begin?
👉 Or should I resist the urge until the socially acceptable date… whenever that is?
