It is busy here in Coed y Brenin this week, but we still managed a walk in the woods without seeing another soul.
If you would like your own bit of peace and quiet, we still have some summer availability, and we can tell you where to avoid the crowds.

The painting is done, the scaffolding has gone and the first guests have arrived. We have availability for Welsh residents until the 12th April that is not shown online, so give us a call or send us a message if you want to book a self catering cabin right on the trails here at Coed-y-Brenin

Dear all,
If you are trying to contact us, we are having an issue with our phone and internet at the moment (Friday 28th Aug, 1800hrs)
Bt.com say that it may take 6 days to fix! If you have stayed with us before, you will know that we are in a mobile black hole and only have the landline to communicate with the outside world when at home. We will drive down the road and pick up messages periodically, and we are sorry for any delay in responding to you.

This sounds like a great offer, looking forward to the time when this can happen.

The Pedal MTB team want to say a massive thank you to all those people who have continued to help keep our nation rolling during COVID-19. So whether you are a; nurse or paramedic, postal worker or delivery driver, shop assistant or care worker, council worker or police officer, or are slaving away in any other key role. We want to offer you something to look forward to, when we come out the other side of this.

We will be offering a free coaching session at Coed y Brenin North Wales, over the course of a weekend (date to be confirmed). Our partners Beics Brenin will be offering hire bikes for those who need a bike to use for the session. Kingud Products will also be on hand to dish out some spot prizes and give your bike a good clean. Natural Resources Wales will be sorting out free parking for everyone attending and the guys from Mudhugger and Endura will be donating a few goodies to give away.

To all our guests, in line with other local businesses, we have sadly closed our doors for April and will review beyond then soon.

The coronavirus pandemic is having a "devastating" impact on Wales' cycling industry.

The Snowdonia Slate Trail passes by about 30 minutes drive from us. The guidebook is in our guest lounge and it is a great walk or run that takes you through the history of the area with stunning scenary.
We have walked on bits of it, and the markers are a great help. It is definitely on our 'to do' list to cover the whole trail.

Your support is needed

The Ordnance Survey has agreed to include the Snowdonia Slate Trail on the OS mapping subject to agreement of the local authorities, Gwynedd Council and Conwy County Borough Council. To date, there has been some reluctance to give that agreement, presumably given fear of attracting further financial liability.

However, we have demonstrated over the last two years that our volunteers, and those of the Ramblers and Snowdonia Society, are well capable of any required maintenance.

Help us get the Trail on the OS mapping by sharing this and liking the post. This will demonstrate the level of community support for the Trail
