🍄✨ A little mushroom magic in the garden… ✨🍄

As autumn begins to settle in at Afon Rhaiadr, we’ve been noticing some wonderful little treasures appearing amongst the grass, moss and woodland floor.

Mushrooms in all shapes, sizes and colours are popping up around the garden — some tiny and delicate, others surprisingly impressive! 🍄🌿

They seem to appear almost overnight, quietly adding their own little touch of woodland magic to the garden.

We never quite know what we’ll discover next… and that’s one of the things we love about this time of year. 🌳🍂

Nature has a way of creating the most beautiful details when you simply slow down and look. 💚

🌶️ **A little bit of spice, a plate full of comfort!** 🍽️

If you’ve spent the day out exploring the beautiful landscapes of Southern Snowdonia, there’s nothing quite like coming back to a hearty dinner.

Our **spicy pork** is packed with flavour, served alongside seasonal vegetables and plenty of golden, crispy chips. 🥔🌿

It’s warming, satisfying and just the sort of food we love serving as the evenings get cooler — with enough of a kick to warm you up from the inside out! 🔥

And of course, there’s something rather comforting about a proper plate of **meat, veg and chips** after a good day outdoors. 😊

🌿🐦 **Room 6 – Lily | A room with a front-row seat to nature**

As autumn begins to fade and winter approaches, our gardens become busier than ever.

From the comfort of **Room 6 – Lily**, you can sit back and watch our feathered visitors making the most of the bird feeders as they prepare for the colder months ahead. 🐦🍂

Lily is one of our lovely Garden Rooms, with its own **private patio** — the perfect little spot to sit with a morning coffee, listen to the birdsong and watch the ever-changing life in the gardens.

Inside, you'll find a beautifully cosy double room with thoughtful touches to make your stay relaxing and peaceful, while outside nature provides the entertainment.

If you can sit quietly, you can spot our resident woodpeckers and other garden visitors going about their day. 👀🐦

Sometimes the best view isn't a mountain panorama… it's simply sitting quietly and watching nature unfold.

🥣 **There’s something rather lovely about a warm bowl of soup when the seasons start to change.** 🍂

As the days get cooler and there’s a little more of a nip in the air, our freshly made **vegetable soups** are back on the menu at Afon Rhaiadr. 🌿

We make a variety of comforting soups depending on what takes our fancy and what’s looking good — from warming **spicy butternut squash** to classic **potato & leek** and creamy **cauliflower**. 🥕🥔

Served with some lovely crusty bread, they make the perfect light lunch or a comforting little treat after a morning exploring the autumn scenery around Southern Snowdonia. 🍁🥾

Because sometimes, after a walk in the fresh Welsh air, all you really need is a warm bowl of something delicious. ❤️

🍂✨ **Hello Autumn… we’ve been waiting for you** ✨🍂

There are little hints of change appearing around the gardens at Afon Rhaiadr…

A few leaves are beginning to turn, the mornings feel a little crisper, and there’s that unmistakable feeling that autumn is quietly making its way into the valley. 🌿🍁

We’re not quite at the full explosion of autumn colour yet — but we’re watching and waiting as the greens slowly give way to beautiful shades of gold, copper and russet. 🍂

And as the days become cooler, there’s nothing quite like coming back from exploring the Welsh countryside and settling down with a **warm drink, somewhere cosy and peaceful**. ☕✨

Autumn is a beautiful time here. Misty mornings, woodland walks, changing leaves, roaring waterfalls and those wonderfully cosy evenings…

We’ll be watching the garden transform over the coming weeks and sharing the colours as they arrive. 🍁💚
