It’s with mixed emotions that we announce Bank Hill Cottage will no longer be operating as a holiday cottage.

We have had a wonderful few years welcoming the loveliest of guests, building friendships with local businesses and being involved in the local community.

The cottage will now become a long term rental property and we look forward to what the future holds.

Dollar’s Winter Festival will begin on December 1st at 5.30pm ❄️

Kicking off with Santa visiting the streets of Dollar on his sleigh and then a festive Christmas market on the 2nd 🎅🏻

Plenty of choices for Christmas shopping, a chance to visit Santa in his grotto and refreshments.

At 4.30pm, Santa will lead a procession to the Memorial Gardens where the Gala King and Queen will light the Christmas tree. 🎄

A little bit about our gorgeous house….🏡

Bank Hill Cottage', is a bright, sunny and pretty property, situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Dollar, but tucked away in a pretty courtyard.

It is a cute but spacious 'upside down house', with the living accommodation on the first floor of the cottage, to take full advantage of the a gorgeous views, particularly of Bank Hill and the Ochil Hills.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing weekend with friends, time spent away with family or an active break - there is something for everyone to enjoy ❤️

When deciding what reviews to share, we often look for those that have recommendations or that talk about things that might help upcoming guests.

However, sometimes the simplest ones are the best ❤️

Creating the perfect space and having you want for nothing during your stay is our goal. Hearing that guests find our cottage perfect makes us very happy!

Dollar Bonfire and Fireworks Display returns this Saturday November 4th. 💥

Wrap up warm and head to Newfield, Dollar for a night of family fun. BBQ and a selection of hot and cold drinks available.

The event is organised by volunteers with all money raised going back into the local community.

Adults £5
Children £3

Enter via Health Centre car park. Please note that fireworks and sparklers are banned and will be confiscated.

2023 is the 35th anniversary of Dollar Museum

Dollar museum is an independent local museum dedicated to the history and heritage of Dollar. With regular exhibitions it’s a great place to go and learn more about the history of Dollar.

On November 4th and 5th they are holding a book sale where you can either donate books or come and buy some new reading material 📚

We always encourage out guests to get out and explore Dollar. The museum is a great place to spend time and learn more about our wonderful village.

At Bankhill Cottage there are no tricks to be found - what you see is what you get! Great service, a gorgeous place to stay and everything you need for the perfect break ❤️

We do however love a treat, our welcome basket is full of them and there are lots of other little touches around the cottage for you to enjoy!

We’re fully booked for spooky season but if you’re already looking at your 2024 diary we’d be happy to get you booked in.
