🎄 Christmas 2026 at The Tormaukin | Your Own Country Inn

Spend Christmas tucked away in a beautiful Scottish glen, with The Tormaukin exclusively yours for three nights from 24-27 December.

With 10 en-suite bedrooms accommodating up to 24 guests, cosy lounges, roaring fires and plenty of space to gather together, it’s a wonderful way to bring a private group of family and friends under one roof for a proper country Christmas.

Our Hogmanay dates have already been booked, so we are now taking enquiries for our remaining festive availability.

You can choose to cater for yourselves or make the stay even more special with our optional festive catering, including:

🎄 Christmas Eve supper
🥂 Christmas Day brunch & three-course dinner
🍽️ Boxing Day grazing

Part-Time Housekeeper - Flexible Hours

We are looking for a reliable and thorough part-time housekeeper to join us at our private 10-bedroom holiday let - The Tormaukin, Glendevon, FK14 7JY.

This is a flexible role that would suit someone looking for part-time work with hours arranged around guest changeovers and bookings. We offer excellent rates of pay and a friendly, relaxed working environment.

Duties will include:
* Cleaning and preparing guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms to a high standard
* Changing beds and preparing rooms for arriving guests
* Cleaning of downstairs and communal areas, depending on requirements
* Helping ensure the property is beautifully presented and ready for each new group

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience would be an advantage, although reliability, attention to detail and a good standard of work are most important.

A selection of local glen stalls are popping up this weekend on the car park in front of The Tormaukin - running 10am–3pm today and tomorrow.

Expect a handful of lovely festive bits including:

🍾✨ Ring in Hogmanay with Us! - A Cosy Scottish Banquet & Overnight Escape

Dear friends,
Hogmanay at the Tormaukin is almost here — and this year we’re hosting a warm, intimate celebration in the glen.

Join us for a Scottish Hogmanay Buffet Banquet: hearty cock-a-leekie stew, haggis neeps & tatties, dressed salmon, winter salads, a festive dessert table and much more… all by candlelight as we welcome 2026 together.

Banquet Tickets: £65 per person. Including a Midnight toast with a complimentary glass of Prosecco or dram of whisky.
Stay the night: £195 per person, including the banquet, and a hot cooked full Scottish breakfast on New Year’s morning.

Escape the crowds, bring your family, and make a night of it in our cosy country inn.

📣 FINAL CALL FOR SELLERS - Sunday 30th November!

Our cosy Christmas Craft Fair at The Tormaukin, Glendevon is almost fully booked - and we’re now putting out a last call for a handful of final stalls 🎄✨

If you’re a maker, baker, crafter, artist, or small local business, this is your chance to showcase your work in a warm, atmospheric country inn, right at the start of the festive season.

🗓 Sunday 30th November
⏰ 11am – 3pm
📍 Indoors at The Tormaukin, Glendevon
💷 £35 per stall
🪑 Bring your own table (up to 6ft) or we can provide one
