"We are just on our way home from a gorgeous 4 night stay in Swan Lodge. We had high expectations from reading the reviews but they were surpassed and we will be recommending this place to anyone who will listen. I have a stressful job in healthcare and my wife booked this as a birthday present to get some much needed relaxation. Ronnie and Josephine were accommodating hosts and communication was easy throughout our stay.
The Lodge is great, it has everything you need, the bed is comfy and the whole place is clean. The breakfast hamper was generous and the hot tub was warm and bubbly! The sauna and cold shower also make for a lovely spa experience in the “wilderness”.
We loved the cinema dome in the garden, everything was set up well and easy to work and we had some great movie nights in there.
I had a massage in the yurt- would recommend Shelley, she was excelllent and I left feeling really relaxed
We also had a yoga session one morning with Vena, one of the highlights of the week and a really lovely way to start the day.
The local walks are really nice and we managed to forage some sloe berries to make some festive vodka, which will be a lovely reminder of our stay
I think we will struggle to find anywhere in the UK that has such a great blend of luxury, wilderness and funky. For us it beats any of the bigger more clinical “lodge and hot tub” stays that are available.
Im sure we will be back
