We're excited to announce a new partnership with Ember Haus!

From 3rd July, you'll be able to enjoy a lakeside sauna and cold plunge experience at the far end of the lake – the perfect way to relax, recover, and reconnect with nature.

Our beautiful lakeside sauna seats up to 7 people and offers stunning views across the water while you unwind between cold plunges.

Bookings are now OPEN, and you can pre-book your 1-hour session in advance to secure your preferred time slot.

As a launch offer, Ember Haus are giving 10% OFF the first 50 bookings, so don't hang about!

Here's a bit more info about our passes.
🎟 lake passes are reduced from £7 to £2 today only! Pop into the café on arrival to purchase one.
🚗 PARKING IS TOTALLY FREE!
☕️If you're using the café - no need to buy a pass! There's no minimum spend required but your support is appreciated.
🛶All visitors with a lake pass are permitted to swim or use their own stand up paddle boards/kayaks on the lake.
🌊SUP hire is currently unavailable but should be up and running by next week - we'll keep you posted 😁

These are our current café opening hours.

We’ve had quite a few questions and suggestions about our opening hours lately, so we just wanted to share a little bit of context 💛

We’re a small, independent, family-run campsite and café, and we genuinely do our best to open as much as we can with the team we have. Like many businesses at the moment, finding and keeping staff isn’t always easy — especially in a seasonal, weather-dependent setting like ours.

The British weather plays a big part in what we do. While we’d love to stay open later on those unexpected sunny evenings, it’s not always possible to extend hours at short notice. Our team plan their shifts in advance, and we can’t fairly ask them to suddenly stay on longer just because the sun decides to come out (as much as we wish it worked like that!).

On top of that, we don’t have mains electricity on site, which adds another layer of complexity behind the scenes. Once we close, all of our chilled and frozen stock has to be packed down and transported off-site to our storage facility. It’s a big job every single day, and it also limits what we’re able to offer on the menu.

A lot of our team are also younger staff, and it’s really important to us that we keep their working hours manageable, balanced, and positive.

We truly appreciate all the support, understanding, and enthusiasm for what we’re building here — it means the world to us.
