There’s something special about this time of year, as the seasons gently begin to change. ✨

Join us on the terrace while the sun shines, or cosy up in the bar or restaurant and enjoy a beautiful meal from our Rosette-awarded kitchen. Homemade cakes are on the bar every day.

A little look at what we have in store:

🥐 🍻 Thursday - Pop-up bakery by At The Chapel, followed by Happy Hour 4–7pm with £4 drinks

🎧 Friday - DJ & 2 for £16 cocktails, 6–9pm

🍰 Saturday - Handcrafted Afternoon Tea £28 or add Bottomless Drinks for just £35 (booking required 24 hours prior)

🍽️ Sunday - Legendary Sunday roasts, served all day 12–9pm

🥓 Breakfast - Served 7 days a week, 8–11am.

Happy Bank Holiday weekend everyone! 🤍

A beautiful Saturday here so far, with lots of lovely guests escaping the rain and settling in for a leisurely lunch with us.

Tomorrow, we’re serving our legendary Sunday roasts all day until 9pm, as well as hosting our End of Summer Bank Holiday Party.

Don’t worry if the rain makes an appearance - the party will simply move to the bar, with Chris Davies & Jack Daniels performing from 4–8:30pm and £4 drinks from 4–7pm.

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow! 🥂

Today, we’re celebrating our lovely Jas - one of our longest-standing members of the FOH team and someone who has become such a special part of The Kings Arms.

Jas has the incredible ability to light up every room she walks into. She brings warmth, energy and a smile wherever she goes, making both our guests and her teammates feel instantly at ease.

A little bit of summer, with autumn just around the corner.

Our new menu is all about beautiful ingredients at their very best - from homemade sausages slow-cooked into a rich sausage ragù, to fresh tomatoes and creamy bocconcini, and courgettes making the most of the height of their season.

September marks the start of a new chapter for The Eastbury.

Over the coming months, all 25 bedrooms will be refurbished alongside a new restaurant, bar and bakery – while preserving the character and features that make The Eastbury so special.

Stay Original Company has a strong track record of restoring historic buildings, most recently at The King’s Arms in Dorchester. The interiors will once again be led by Ali and Tilly Guttridge of Origin Interiors, the designers behind all the Stay Original properties.

We want to create a brilliant, welcoming hotel that feels completely at home in Sherborne – somewhere for the local community as much as those staying the night.

We’ll be sharing the journey here and can’t wait to welcome you back in spring 2027.
