If you’re staying with us at the end of August, the lovely Oak Fayre is well worth a visit. Held on the 28th and 29th August, it’s a celebration of timber traditions, countryside crafts, and local conservation — all the things that make our rural community so special.

You’ll find:

• Timber crafts — demonstrations, handmade pieces, and traditional skills
• Conservation stalls — great for nature lovers
• Local makers — browse unique countryside crafts
• Family‑friendly activities — a relaxed day out for all ages

It’s a lovely way to spend a summer day, soak up some countryside charm, and support local artisans. If you need directions or tips for the best time to go, I’m always happy to help.

A camper staying with us this week was so inspired by the view at Lanscombe Lane Camping that they painted it — and gifted us a beautiful mini canvas to keep. It’s amazing to see our Dorset landscape captured with such care. Thank you to our wonderful guests who bring creativity, kindness, and good energy to the field.

Looking for a unique summer evening out?

Join us on set Friday evenings from the end of July & throughout August for a relaxing experience with our beautiful Highland cows.

Your evening includes:
●Meet our friendly Highland cows
Walk up to their field
●Spend time stroking, brushing and taking photos with them
●Finish the evening with a delicious beef burger & chips (vegetarian option available in request at booking)

🕠 Time: 5:30pm – 7:45pm
💷 Price: £39.50 per person
