The great British pub - why we'd be lost without it. 🍻
Because a traditional pub is much more than a place for a pint. It's somewhere people come together, relax and make memories.
And that's exactly what we love about being part of village life.
🍺 A real pub with real ales, including those brewed in our very own microbrewery
🍽️ The food - really good food! Locally sourced wherever possible and cooked from scratch. Some traditions are worth keeping!
❤️ Our people. The regulars who pop in for a pint, the walkers who stop off after a muddy walk, families meeting for Sunday lunch and visitors joining us for the first time.
🥂 Making memories. Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and those deliciously unplanned afternoons that turn into evenings. Pubs have a way of bringing people together.
🌿 The little things. A sunny afternoon in the b**r garden, a chat at the bar, dogs snoozing under tables, a roaring fire after a long walk, and even the occasional goat (it’s a true story! 🐐).
🏡 The heart of the village - familiar, welcoming and full of character. A place to sit back and take it all in.
And here’s why it’s important.
Because while pubs have been part of British life for centuries, it’s no secret that hundreds close their doors every year. And every closure means another place for people to meet, celebrate, catch up and feel part of their community is lost.
