If you want to experience a little bit of Japan right here in Scotland, Rowan in the Yurt for you! 🇯🇵⛩️🌸

Inspired by the landscapes, stories, culture and beauty of Japan, Rowan truly feels like stepping into another world ❤️

Our aim with Rowan was to create a calming space, where you can feel at peace watching the clouds floating overhead through the dome, listen to the sound of birds singing outside and relax in your own little piece of Japan right here in Dornoch! ✨️

And we're OPEN for 2026 🎉

We can't wait to welcome our guests, both returning and new, for their magical stays at Rainbow's End Yurts 🛖🌸💖

And for the big reveal... we've installed a Brand New Fence, meaning our yurts now have their own little fenced garden space - perfect for relaxing, BBQing and letting the kids play 😊

Big thanks to our deck builder, fence creator, and all round wonderful handy man Alan for making the fence a reality 🤩

We've upgraded! 💫

While our aim with the Yurts is to encourage our guests to rediscover nature, switch off and relax, we also appreciate the importance of keeping connected.

Whether it's to stay in touch with loved ones, answering important emails or streaming a movie as you cosy down for the night, we want to ensure our guests have the best possible experience 😊

That's why we've just installed Starlink at Rainbow's End Yurts, providing each of our Yurts with high speed WiFi at all times 💫🌟

Progress so far..... 🛖🌸

We've been busy the last couple of days getting everything ready, we've got two yurts built, and the third will be finished today! Then it's on to furnishing them 😊

Looking forward to welcoming our first guests next Friday!

We can't quite believe it - but we open for the 2026 Season here at Rainbow's End Yurts in only 11 Days 🎉🛖✨️

That means... its time to set the Yurts up! 🤩

Our container has been opened and the Yurts (in their deconstructed form) have seen the light of day for the first time since last October! 🛖🌱

Keep an eye on our page during the next week as we set things up and be ready to find out about some exciting changes we're making to our Glamping Experience this year ✨️❤️

Let's step back in time to Dornoch Beach in days gone by 🏖

Here's a selection of old postcards we've collected which we've colourised and enhanced 🌊🐚 These span from the late 40s to the late 50s...

Can you see just how much the beach has shifted and changed over the years? Back in the 50s, the Yurts (if they existed) would have only been a 2 minute walk from the sand and shore... Today, after over 70 years of shifting sands, the Yurts are an 8 minute walk over our stunning and biodiverse dune system until you reach the shore! In total, the dune system has extended around 1000 ft since these pictures were taken! 😮🏖🐦

We just love looking at old pictures of Dornoch. And no matter if you were here in the 50s or today, its still such a beautiful and soecial place ❤️
