The summer season is slowly drawing to a close. After one hell of a heatwave which dominated most of it you can definitely start to feel Autumn in the air.

One thing that was mentioned alot at the beginning of the New March season was that so many people did not know we are open through winter.

We are actually an 11 month site and only close for the month of February. Which means we are open all through Christmas and New Year.

Now as a Dog friendly site situated in the Dartmoor National park there are actually laws forbidding the use of Fireworks here, so if you have a rather sensitive or reactive pooch it may benefit you to know that we never get fireworks here. So on Bonfire night, Christmas and New Year Woodland Springs may just be the quiet sanctuary your pup needs when Fireworks are more likely.

Summer 2026 has been blast. We have definitely had our ups and downs but after walking around the park this evening I can definitely say I am one lucky lady to Manage such a Beautiful Park.

A big Thankyou needs to go out to Dan and Abbie our maintenance Team for making Woodlands look stunning again!!! And as always a big Thankyou to my incredible Partner in life and Crime Jack for being just as committed to Woodlands as I am.

Well what a day I’ve had.

Karlie had these amazing Malteser cookie cups for sale today so I obviously had to try one of them (oh my goodness 😍) and then this afternoon one of my lovely Seasonal’s gave me some Home made bread still warm from the oven, so that’s Tea sorted tonight.

I’m going to bed very Fat and Full. Going to have to work it all off tomorrow though 😬

Anyone ever wonder what we do with Dan the Maintenance man when he’s not on site? 🤔 I always thought he went home, but after seeing him submerge from under Rosie’s field Toilet block I’m starting to think he’s made himself a home 🤣
On a serious note the dedication this man brings to his work clearly has no boundaries. 🫣

No day is ever the same at Woodlands but I do love when something a little different comes on park. The last few days we have had these lovely guests stay with us and I just love walking past there “accommodation”

They were kind enough to let me take some pictures and even send a few over as well.

Woodlands isn’t just a touring park, we love seeing our tent ⛺️ and Teepee guests to.

Bank holiday weekend is filling up fast but we do still have a few spaces available, don’t forget we also have the amazing Karlies Cookie Jar here all weekend to as well as the Monday!!

Woodlands would just like to say a massive well done to Arran and Finlay for completing there trip from Lands end to John ‘o’ groats in just 8 days!!!! raising money for a fantastic charity called Tiny Changes.

They stopped overnight at woodlands on there journey and where lovely to speak to.

Well done Lads!!
