JourneyFree will focus on activities, events and experiences which are designed to support learning and self-discovery. In particular it will provide sessions and programmes of adventure based outdoor learning, creative workshops and an alternative, relaxed and family focused accommodation set in the beauty of the Northern Irish countryside. When these ingredients are skilfully brought together it will create a natural, bespoke, personal,group or family journey that will be a positive platform for onward travel. The personal development activities and creative experiences range from one off taster sessions through to longer-term water and land landbased expeditions, recreational vacations and training courses. Each experience aims to provide a life enriching, fun and reflective opportunity that inspires clarity. It is our goal to ensure that time spent with JourneyFree will result in a ‘real freedom’ to ‘achieve goals’ and to ‘travel happy’ on the adventure that is life. The first base for JourneyFree glamping is being developed at a beautiful old farm house and gardens hidden away in the tranquillity of the County Down countryside. It is set within the rolling drumlins between the historic towns of Banbridge and Dromore and is just a twenty-minute drive from the beauty of the Mourne Mountains. The house itself is 250 years old surrounded by mature gardens and natural countryside. It has been lovingly restored in keeping with the past that it seeks to preserve. It provides a sanctuary from the busy and hectic demands of life and very naturally brings inspiration and restoration. This site provides the necessary ‘safe place’ and a perfect base to begin a journey of exploration, the high-end Glamping accommodation, on site activities and workshops will be complimented by ensuring the best of local food produce is available and ensure that you have the level of comfort and the necessary ingredients to create a memorable and life-changing experience. So what is ‘the Journey’, the journey is abou today ‘where you are now’, looking back at ‘where you have come from’ with a view to moving to ‘where you want to be’. The most difficult part is often finding the time and space to work out the answers to these questions. We all gather a lot of baggage along the way from the experiences that have been formative in our lives, some of this we need and some of this holds us back from ‘journeying free’. At the heart of JourneyFree we believe that we all need to invest time in getting to know ourselves through reflection and learning through sharing experiences with others. Using a natural process of adventure and creative activities, a journey of exploration and discovery occurs. The outcome of this journey leads to clarity of focus leading to greater ability to think and act freely regarding our goals.
