🌿 Springtime in Drumnadrochit 🌿

April is one of the most beautiful times to explore the Highlands — and our wee village is bursting with life right now! 🌸

Why not take a wander through the Craigmonie Woodland Trail and soak in those peaceful views over Loch Ness? Or step back in time with a visit to the iconic Urquhart Castle — still standing proud on the lochside after centuries of Highland history.

🐦 Birds are singing, the gorse is blooming, and Nessie might just be enjoying the sunshine too…

We're proud to announce that the 2025 Glenurquhart Highland Games will host the World Female Heavy Events Championship - marking the first time this global competition comes to Scotland!

This is a huge moment for the Games and a proud step toward celebrating strength, skill, and inclusivity in our traditions, whilst recognising the incredible talent of female athletes in heavy events and giving them the stage they deserve

With Heavy Hearts, We Say Goodbye to Maisie 💔🌈

Today, our beautiful, fluffy labradoodle Maisie crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a short illness. She was a true one-of-a-kind with her soft, white coat and gentle, loving spirit. At 13 years old, she blessed us with so many wonderful years of joy, love, and laughter.

Maisie was more than a pet; she was a cherished member of our family, always by our side with her wagging tail and warm cuddles. She touched the hearts of everyone who met her, and her memory will live on in the countless happy moments she gave us.

We will miss her more than words can say, but we are comforted knowing she’s at peace. Rest easy, sweet girl—you’ll forever be in our hearts. 🐾🤍
