Nearby Inverness has excellent long distance transport links, from which RiverView Cottage can be reached via public transport. Recently acquired and run by a local trust, for the benefit of two Inverness school boys, RiverView has been operated as a holiday let for almost twenty years. The cottage is run on the simple premise of keeping life easy and honest. So we try to keep things simple with a minimum stay of just two nights for £150 (offseason) and a full weeks accommodation for only £300.

For the brave new world opening up to use after Covid we have invested in some new lounge furniture and a new refrigerator, we’ll have to update some of our pictures.

It is quite busy, and with a 72 hour Covid safe hour gap between even the shortest of stays our capacity is much reduced.

To secure a booking you’ll have to be quick.

We have one week only available in July and a couple of weeks each in September and October, then that’s it until the colder seasons arrive during November and December.

I am pleased to be able to tell you that we are now investing just a little faith in the future, as we have started to take bookings once again.

Deep cleaning and leaving a minimum of two days between occupants, we are delighted to be receiving guests again from 1st September onwards.

We hope to see lots of you enjoying a UK Staycation here in the Highlands.

We are vey happy that 2018 was just as successful as 2017. With almost seven years behind us we're now seeing quite a few return visitors, so we must be doing something right.

2019 is booking up fast, with June almost fully booked already.

We are very pleased to say that 2018 is looking to be another record breaking year for RiverView Cottage.

TripAdvisor have even awarded us not one, but two certificates of excellence. Do take look at our ratings there, we recommend booking direct to get the best rates though.

There is still time to book for this year. We think that autumn and winter in the Highlands is one of the best times. The stags are magnificent and the colours are stunning.
