When an Australian guest arrives with the sole hanging off his 'favourite boots' and asks "is there anywhere I can buy rubber glue and a clamp" what do you do?

Take his boot, remove the sole and the multiple layers of old glue, key the mating surfaces, bond with new rubber glue and clamp.
Then leave to dry stuffed with blue roll on the heater.

Why?
Because, if I was on the other side of the world and needed help, I'd really appreciate somone taking the time to help me.
And, we're Scottish and that's just what we do 👍

I did laugh as his wife was telling him "you've got new boots at home" probably too far to go and pick them up for the morning 🤣
