If you need a moment of peace please enjoy this one.

I just finished wet felting the back of this lovely Black Cheviot cross fleece and hung it on the line to drip dry 💧

The sun came out and the birds started singing ☀️ 🎶

A moment of peace in a busy day 💙

Guests often comment on how peaceful it is here at Lettoch Farm; come and stay with us and experience it for yourself 💚

Also this rug will be available to buy, as soon as it’s dry I’ll take photos of it 😉

A couple of days ago I took my Mum for a day out to Knockando Wool Mill 🧶
Located just 25 minutes from us it’s a great day out!
Explore the traditional machines for preparing and weaving wool from local sheep.
Enjoy a yummy lunch at the cafe there, we had soup and quiche.
Sometimes there are special events, we went on a day when they were demonstrating dyeing with woad, it was fascinating 💙

This year I was so happy to be awarded funding through the Glenrinnes Community Centre’s microgrants, through Foundation Scotland and EDF Renewables Doronell Windfarm Community Benefit Fund.

This meant I could deliver two workshops in May and August to local people which were free for them to attend.

We used fleece from local sheep farms to create beautiful, unique and cosy seat pads.

A lot of fun was had, but it’s also a very relaxing past time, and everyone came away happy and proud of their new rug!

“It was such a brilliant opportunity to learn a new craft alongside others from the local community”

“I love my rug!”

If you’d like to learn to weave with me watch this space! Future group workshops will be advertised on my socials 😉

It’s a stunning morning and the swallows are preparing themselves, any day they will set off to fly 6000 miles south on their annual migration! We will miss them 💙
