📣 A little change going forward at Duirinish Pods & Bothy… 📣

As another incredibly busy summer season comes to an end, we’ve made the decision that going forward The Bothy will no longer be available through Booking.com during our busy summer months.

We’ve noticed some confusion this summer between our pods and The Bothy when booking through Booking.com. Our two pods each have their own private hot tub, while The Bothy is a completely separate, more budget-friendly accommodation without a hot tub.

Despite trying to make this as clear as possible through our listing, photographs and follow up booking messages, we’ve still had a few guests arrive expecting a pod when they had actually booked The Bothy. Unfortunately, this confusion has also started to affect our review scores, with some guests marking The Bothy down simply because it wasn’t the pod they had expected to arrive at, rather than because of the accommodation or service they received.

During the quieter months we can often offer an upgrade if a pod is available, but in summer they’re usually fully booked, so we’ve decided this is the best way to avoid any future confusion.

We’re very proud of our little Bothy. 🏡💛 It’s cosy, comfortable, beautifully finished and offers great-value accommodation in the same lovely Highland location. It will, of course, still be available to book directly through our website.

🌿 DUIRINISH PODS & BOTHY 🌿

Hello July! ☀️

Another month has flown by here at Duirinish Pods & Bothy.

June was a particularly special month for us as we hosted our very first wedding here at the pods. It was such a privilege to be part of such a memorable day, and we wish the happy couple a lifetime of happiness together. 💍🤍

We also took a short break from welcoming guests to celebrate our daughter Lucy’s 18th birthday with family and friends – a milestone we’ll always treasure.

Although the weather wasn’t exactly on our side for much of June (typical Scottish summer! ☔), it certainly didn’t stop our guests from enjoying everything the Highlands have to offer. As always, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who chose to stay with us and to those who took the time to leave such wonderful reviews. Reading your feedback is one of our favourite parts of each month, and it means so much to us as a small family-run business.

The summer holidays are now here and we’re keeping everything crossed for plenty of sunshine throughout July and August! 🌞
