⚠ Essential A710 Road Closure at Islesteps Bridge.
The A710 at Islesteps Bridge will close temporarily from 8am on Monday 26 October until 5pm on Friday 20 November 2026 while essential repairs are carried out.
Our Roads Service needs to close the road to repair a landslip and erosion to the embankment. The road will remain closed for the duration of the work.
🚗 A signed diversion will be in place via the A710, U224n Park Road, A711 and C10n, operating in reverse for traffic travelling in the opposite direction.
A one-way system for light vehicles will also operate via the U221n southbound and U220n northbound. Emergency service access will be maintained.
🚌 We are working with local bus operators to minimise disruption and explore alternative routes where possible.
Advance warning signs will be in place, and local businesses along the A710 will remain open as usual.
We appreciate the disruption this will cause and thank residents, businesses and road users for their patience while these essential repairs are carried out.
