The Old School House has a long social history, serving the small hamlet of Innerwick, a mere 8 kms from Dunbar, as its primary school from the (19 to 1969 when a new school was built to serve the community. The building was then transformed into an outdoor centre, promoting outdoor learning opportunities in the East Lothian countryside. The facility still plays a huge part in providing residential opportunities to youngsters from East Lothian schools and community groups and beyond. However, the facility is now open to all who wish to avail themselves of comfortable, affordable bunkhouse accommodation and explore beaches, golf courses and historic villages that East Lothian has in plenty.
