The Chalet, Holidays for All A unique self catering inclusive chalet on a working farm. The Chalet, Holidays for All is coming soon to Dunbar, East Lothian in April 2017.

It is situated on a working farm where guests are welcome to come and meet the animals and see the farm in action. James and Kay Gilchrist were granted funding from Tyne and Esk Leader which allowed them to build this Chalet to allow other people to enjoy the East Lothian countryside as much as they do. They felt that there was not enough accommodation available in the area for people with disabil

ities and they wanted to change that. The idea for the Chalet was born! Our inclusive Chalet has three bedrooms; our main bedroom is unique as it has an en-suite wetroom with celling track hoist running from the bedroom into the wetroom. The wetroom will have grab rails as well as a Clos-o-mat toilet which offers a wash and dry facility. This bedroom has two electric lifting beds which can be used either a twin room or a double room. The Chalet has two other bedrooms with the option of twin or double rooms. The bathroom is opposite, featuring a bath with shower, toilet and sink. Our kitchen/living area has two large glass windows/doors looking down over the coastal town of Dunbar. This will lead out to a large decking area where stunning views can be enjoyed by all. Access is via the glass door or the side utility room. The Chalet has a concrete carpark with a ramp leading up to it for easy access.

Well following the fire last year we are now in full swing for rebuilding and demolition.
Thankfully the noise has been minimal and guests have been understanding and haven’t complained about the activity going on.
Here are some pictures to show what’s been happening. Those who have been regulars to the chalet will probably recognise the areas that you see in the photos.
On the plus side the road is nice and smooth again for you driving in!

Merry Christmas to our guests and followers. It’s been another busy year at the chalet with a huge amount of bookings and we are delighted that we have reached many more guests who come to make use of our facilities.
We are now closed from today until the 5th of January to have some family time before everything starts again next year.
Thank you all for your support and repeat visitors and also to our cleaning team who work hard and do such a good job ❤️
