After a howling 1.5year of poor winds and behind the scene changes.

And multiple calls and questions

Valhalla escapes are back.
Well valhalla escapes for now (hint)

But a few changes.

-introductions to paddleboaring
-paddleboard hire but be aware i do not have as many boards as I once did.

PADDLE BOARD COURSE🏄‍♀️

Do you want to know more about how to keep yourself and others safe when out paddle boarding?

Are you unsure about what tides, winds, and water conditions mean and what is safe?

Well we have put together our very own PADDLE PROFICIENCY COURSE

This will teach you what you need to know to keep you safe on the water in a variety of environments. It will include:

- Paddleboarding skills and techniques

- Basic oceanography and climatology to teach you how to read the weather and water to keep you safe

- Practical skills for getting yourself and others out of danger

- Equipment and handling knowledge

The courses will last approx. 8hrs which can be done flexibly to suit your schedule (for example 4 days of 2hrs spanning a month with one class per week or 1 day of 8hrs). The course cost will be £120 which includes full hire, a paper or digital copy of what you learn, and a certificate of recognition.

No previous knowledge or equipment is required.

🤙🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️📣After a fair break due to poor weather, expeditions, projects and behind the scenes work Valhalla escapes are back to play .

Who are we?
Valhalla escapes (formally Dsup paddle boards),we are dundees original paddleboard company .a few years ago now i sat round a beach fire with a small group of local boarders and thought , We can put this place on the map for paddleboarders and at that time dsup was born .

What we do ?
- paddleboard and safety equipment hire 🏄‍♀️
-board advice/sales
-sup lessons 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫
-Dundee Council cleared for schools,clubs
-taster sessions
-group sessions
-1 to 1 learing plans
-trips 🧭
-yoga both on land or boards 🏄🏼‍♀️🧘‍♀️

What we have.
-We have multiple boards including kids boards,
-wetsuits
-buoyancy aides
-6m stove heated yoga bell tent

🚐our most important tool by far is the SUP bus....

Our long wheel base sprinter that has been a great place for new and seasoned paddlers to chill out ,take shelter ,get changed and heat up .and most of all has played all kinds of chill out tunes as we chill at the beach.

We know it is great weather and you are all wanting to get out on the water, due to Darren & Annie being unavailable there will be no rent/lessons available this week. Sorry for any inconvenience.

⛵️ Darren & Annie are currently touring with Charlie Head to raise money for the British Divers Marine Life Rescue.

Keep an eye out for pictures and updates of how their trip is going 😁

🏞🏄‍♀️Woooohooo and she's off 🏞🏄‍♀️

Our very own viking paddle queen annie is currently taking two VALKYRIES on an introduction and paddle camp at one of the stunning lochs in Scotland .

She's planned in for
-introduction to paddling
-what to prepare
-Castle visits
-camps
-yoga
-wild swims
And more

Yesterday we had the privilege of taking out the strathmore young farmers paddleboarding .cheers again guys

-We managed to introduce 21 people to valhalla escapes and what we are paddleboarding 🏄🏻‍♂️,beach fire 🔥and chill🤙.

It was an epic weekend for annie and her water vikings she Introduced 10 new people to the sport/sup lifestyle ,she lead a teen kids sup taster,lesson on the Friday then an adult mixed taster on the sat ... come alone and try it out . 😥😔🙁POSTPONED

Bad news everyone - due to the weather coming in worse than expected we will have to unfortunately postpone our open day today

We are very sorry for the hassle and disappointment this may cause. We made this decision as we want everyone to have the best experience possible and leave with a positive attitude which is hard to do when the weather is miserable! 🧊🥶

We will be holding another one in a few weeks, so keep an eye out for that!

We are just as disappointed as you are since we were looking forward to showing you our set up. But we are also looking forward to seeing you all on our next one!
