"We have been using Dundee Backpackers for around 7 years now and it's always been a great experience. I think the attitude of the staff can have a big impact wherever you stay and I'm pleased to say that the staff at Dundee Backpackers are excellent and always make our booking process, arrival and stay as easy as possible. They are very accommodating for groups whereas some other hostels I have used see groups as a bit of an inconvenience. Thanks again guys, see you next year!"

Our destination pick of the week is:

Bell Rock Lighthouse.

The worlds oldest surviving sea-washed lighthouse.

You'll find it off the coast of Arbroath (where you can also get some incredible fish and chips)

Just 30 mins on the bus, or hire some bikes and cycle on the scenic bike paths.

Our spacious and airy private twins and doubles look more like hotel rooms than typical hostel rooms! Some even come with wardrobes, reading lamps and sitting areas, as well as shared or en-suite bathrooms. Our mixed dorms are just as cosy and cheerful, and have storage lockers and shared bathrooms. If you forgot to bring a towel, don't panic – you can rent one from reception.
