SCOTTISH SLICED SAUSAGE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE GOES ‘DOON THE WATTER’ TO DUNOON!
A crash course in sliced sausage-making from his expert father has led to a Dunoon butcher lifting the fiercely contested Scottish Beef Sliced Sausage Championship 2024.
Newly crowned champion Richard Longster said the title was “the stuff of dreams” as he helped put Dunoon on the food map by winning the national championship for one of the country’s most iconic products.

📣Save Your Local Independent Cinema📣

You may or may not be aware that times are incredibly tough in the cinema industry at the moment. Many independent venues like ourselves are now unfortunately in a ‘use us or lose us’ situation.

In February, we looked at community consensus on why people wouldn’t use the cinema - the biggest being cost. We decided to lower our pricing for March and April and the response from you all about our reduced ticket costs has been so positive! Especially from families who benefitted from affordable visits during the holidays.

Unfortunately with rising costs, we are not able to sustain this initiative without your help. So we are reaching out to you, our local community and asking for your continued support. As a business, we provide a much needed service to the local community that we know would be sorely missed if we were to close.

We feel so lucky to have been a part of the Dunoon community for over 50 years and would love to stay a part of it. Please like, share and comment on this post - help us spread the word.
