We love a visit to see Highland Mary as she looks longingly across the water for Robert Burns 🥰

Kick off the Summer holidays with some free family fun on Sat 4th July at Castle House. 🏰

Between 1pm and 4pm, come along and help us make a collage to celebrate Highland Mary’s 130th birthday using images from the Museum collection. We will be joined by textile artist and educator Katie who will guide the session. This fun and relaxed workshop is free and suitable for all ages. Thanks to the Hugh Fraser Foundation for funding this project.

Please note all children must be supervised by an adult. We look forward to welcoming you ☺️

Ormaig Rock Carvings (5000 years old), near Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland.
Kilmartin Glen is described as Scotland’s richest prehistoric landscape. There is an incredible concentration of Neolithic and Bronze Age rock carvings in and around Kilmartin Glen.
The most common motifs are cups, surrounded by up to seven rings, but there are also zig-zags, lines and an unusual horned spiral.

Come along to our Night At The Museum event on the fifth of August for an evening of adventure and family fun! ☺️✨ 🔦

For the first time, visitors can explore the museum after the doors have closed, and take part in fun activities. These include Victorian crafts and games and a treasure hunt, alongside behind the scenes tours 🎨 🗺️

Tickets are available from the museum and Pricewise Toytastic, and are £5 for an adult and £2 for a child (up to the age of sixteen) which includes all activities, juice and a snack. We hope to see you there!
