Business for sale! The time has come for Mike and I to move on to a new chapter and so, after much thought, we have decided to put Skye Getaways and our home up for sale. For those who have stayed with us you will have an idea of our beautiful 3 self-catering options. Our home is an adjacent 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage. Everything is well maintained and in great decorative order. So, we are offering a great lifestyle business and lovely home in this very special part of Skye. One of our favourite things about our views is the ever changing light. Tonight everything went into soft-focus just as the sun was going down and just before a short sharp shower of rain. It felt like living in a watercolour painting. Photos can’t really do it justice….

One of the questions we get asked more than anything is what the weather will be like tomorrow/ next week/ next year…. And the answer always is whatever the forecast there is no real knowing! Very often it is better that you think. Today’s forecast said we had an 80-90% chance of rain every hour all day. So far I have been warm in my t-shirt working in the garden and walking the dog, wearing sun cream… when in Skye never rely on a forecast, even on the same day!

Always love stopping on the way back home from the mainland just before crossing the Skye Bridge to take in the views….
