That was a brilliant camping weekend in the woods! It was nice to have some rain as well. (Sorry, not many photos, if you managed to take some. Drop them in the comments!)
​It was great to see familiar faces returning to the site alongside a few new visitors enjoying the woods.
Thank you to everyone who kept the area tidy and respected the leave no trace policy.

I’ve been waiting to see if we’d get any rain ahead of the weekend, but unfortunately we haven’t had any.

I know relaxing around a campfire in the evening and cooking over open flames is a big part of the camping experience, but with how wild the site is, it isn't worth the risk. 🔥🚫 A TEMPORARY BAN ON FIRE PITS AND CHARCOAL BBQs IS THEREFORE IN PLACE FOR THIS WEEKEND 🚫🔥

Gas stoves and gas BBQs are still permitted, provided they are raised off the ground and never left unattended. You will still need to have extra water set aside specifically for fire safety and/or a fire extinguisher with you at your pitch.

This measure is purely to protect the woodland and keep everyone safe. Thank you for your understanding.

What an awesome weekend! Thank you to everyone who enjoyed the woodland. It was great to see a mix of regular faces and new campers on site

​I noticed some great camping setups over the weekend, but I did not take any photos myself.

This is a brilliant palnt to know. If you're out and about hiking, walking, climbing, camping etc and end up getting a blister!
