Durham Dales holiday cottages are family run cottages in the picturesque area of Teesdale, County Durham. The Self Catering cottages are ideal for a relaxing break with their high quality facilities and fantastic views. Our three cottages are unique in there style and layout. However they are all the same in the high quality in which we offer with fantastic facilities found across the three properties and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
Cobblers Barn (with a HOT TUB) is a unique property offering a more traditional accommodation with beautiful oak beams and open vaulted rooms, ideal for extended families and groups of friends looking to discover this delightful area together. With the benefit of its wonderful location near the popular Pennine Way, this Mickleton cottage rests amongst glorious countryside with good local amenities just a short stroll away. Bright and cheery throughout and offering pleasant views, guests will find plenty of space in which to relax and unwind, with the attractive sitting room housing a lovely woodburner for chilly evenings, whilst the kitchen/diner provides an excellent space to gather together over dinner and discuss the events of the day.
Springwater View(with a HOT TUB) An outstanding, stone-built, semi-detached cottage set on the outskirts of the small rural hamlet of Mickleton. This delightful Mickleton cottage offers impressive, contemporary holiday accommodation, ideal for extended families and groups of friends looking to discover this delightful area together. With the benefit of its wonderful location near the popular Pennine Way, this Mickleton cottage rests amongst glorious countryside with good local amenities just a short stroll away. Bright and cheery throughout and offering pleasant views, guests will find plenty of space in which to relax and unwind, with the attractive sitting room housing a lovely woodburner for chilly evenings, whilst the kitchen/diner provides an excellent space to gather together over dinner and discuss the events of the day. Each of the bedrooms in this Mickleton cottage have been tastefully styled, with the master room boasting modern en-suite facilities, and two of the twin rooms offering excellent flexibility. Outside, there is a spacious, enclosed garden area with lawns and a patio with furniture, offering an ideal setting for dining in the cool evening air after a challenging day’s walk over the stunning local fells.
Jacob’s Lodge (with a HOT TUB and SAUNA) is a stunning new property offering a mixture of traditional accommodation with beautiful oak beams with open vaulted rooms, whilst also offering all the amenities of a new property. Jacob's Lodge is available for family holidays, due to the quiet nature of the surrounding area we are unable to host stag and hen parties. The property is bright and tastefully decorated throughout and offers stunning views from all of the rooms. The 16 guests will find plenty of space in which to relax and unwind in either the large ground floor family area with its modern kitchen, dining and living area housing a lovely woodburner for chilly evenings, or in the upstairs entertainment room which offers another area to view the stunning countryside, giving plenty of space to watch TV, to read or talk about the day’s activities and unwind. The property has open fields to the rear showing the fantastic views across the valley. Here the property has its own private rear garden with ample off road parking. The hot tub is situated in the garage but has a floor to ceiling window giving the luxury of feeling outside.
