Just wow ...

Some buildings don’t need much introduction, and Durham Cathedral at sunset is definitely one of them.

Started in 1093, it’s one of the great masterpieces of Norman architecture, built to house the shrine of St Cuthbert, with the Venerable Bede later laid to rest here too. It dominates the city in every sense, but when the sky turns like this, it somehow still manages to steal even more of the show.

This is exactly why I love documenting these places - real landmarks, real history, and moments of light that make you stop in your tracks.
