Foresters guest house This is about the guest house and the bar and restaurant. We want to share our menus and information with our guests and customers.

We offer a comfortable, welcoming stay for all of our guests. Our rooms are modern and well equipped and we offer a hearty breakfast or something lighter if this is preferred. The area in which we are situated is stunning, with wide open countryside, lovely market towns and Durham city all within easy reach. During the summer months we have locally a fantastic open air show called Kynren, which gi

ves a journey through British history which includes some fantastic special effects and light show. The guest house also has a bar and restaurant which are open Thursday through to Sunday where we provide quality home cooked food, freshly prepared for each customer and is very popular in the local area.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, totally worn out and screaming......."Wooo Hooo what a ride! I wanna go round again"

Isn't the north east fab. We've had tall ships, miners gala, boogie in the barn and Kynren all in one weekend. While London has had marches and protests about Trumpie, we have had nothing but great events and fun. I know where I would rather be, up here with great people in a beautiful area.

Sarah will be in Bancok now I think, while I'm here baking leek pudding. What is wrong with this picture? For anyone who doesn't know who Sarah is she is our assistant cook and I hope she is having a fab time.

Hi everyone. I am a bit new to this facebook thing but would just like to say that we are currently busy with Christmas fayre which is a lot of fun, fully booked for Christmas day, closed Boxing day and still taking bookings for New Years Eve. All opening times are as normal and if anyone would like to join us on Christmas Eve we have complimentary broth and crusty bread buns on offer with a choice of dessert . Its a night for company, chat and relaxation before the maddness of the big day so we look forward to seeing you.
