WINTER CAMPING The Fundraising Campsite is extending its opening period past the main season to offer winter camping with specific operational adjustments:
• Extended Opening Dates: The site has extended opening from 31st March 26 through 30st SEPTEMBER SUMMER SEASON
WINTER OPENING
1st OCTOBER 26 through to 30 MARCH 2027
, Weather dependant (aiming for year-round opening).
• Permitted Units: Only Site 1 will be open during the winter, strictly restricted to self-contained units (e.g., motorhomes, camper vans, winter tents etc) Group booking will be considered
• Site Facilities & Conditions:
• The campsite consists entirely of grass pitches.
Plus 2 new large hard standing EHU pitches (phone to book these)
• Utilities such as water for showers and toilet flushing run above ground and may be weather-affected; Composting toilets and Elson disposal points remain available.

PET RESCUE FUNDRAISING CAMPSITE VISITOR INFORMATION & SITE RULES- WE ARE HERE TO WELCOME YOU
Please ask if you need help during your stay or with your booking — we will always try to assist.
Everything below keeps the site safe, quiet and friendly for every camper.
• Quiet time 10 pm
• No bins on site
• Drive at 5mph: This is a family site and children are playing
• Torches needed
• Dogs on leads at all times
• No disposable BBQs
This is a family site so — no drugs, including pot smoking Anyone breaking this rule will be removed from the site without a refund and will be blacklisted. Medical users must provide proof; special arrangements will then be made accordingly, in compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
1- Bookings, payment & your pitch boundary- Provisional bookings cancel automatically 4 hours after receipt, unless payment is made. A paid deposit is required for all bookings, with the balance due 7 days before arrival. (for winter bookings) 28 days for summer bookings.
2- For safety, all personal items — including accommodation and transport — should fit within the pitch boundary; alternative parking is available, please ask in reception.
3- Bringing your dog? On arrival, proof of an up-to-date vaccine is required for your pet to stay on site — a photo of the vaccination card or an email on your phone is fine. This protects both our pet visitors and the rescue dogs from illness. For safety, dogs must always be on a lead while on our premises, and please don't forget p**p scoop bags.
Your pet can be booked into our day-care kennels for £14 per day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., if needed — as some visitor attractions don't allow dogs.
4- ONLY Site hired Campfires sets are allowed. If the grass is burned, a fine of £40 will be issued. Wood is available on site sales. Please note that torches are required in some areas of the site. Please try to advance book
SITE RULES Children must always be supervised — for their own safety, the safety and sanity of other campers, and the safety of the site equipment. The play swings are intended for small toddlers only; the tyre tower and similar are for older children, but we cannot be responsible for any accidents. You are responsible for your children's behaviour, and well-behaved children are always welcome.
• Quiet time & vehicle movement Please respect our quiet time, which is 10 p.m. Reports of disturbances will result in removal from our site. At weekends and busy periods there is no vehicle movement after 10 p.m. on or off site for safety reasons — walking access only, with Barrier 1 and site gate 2 closed. A car park is available. For any issues or problems on site, please phone 07721 627486. 6 Food & the evening bar Our catering van — pizzas, baked potatoes and burgers — plus a pop-up evening bar, is open most weekends and bank holidays.
• In wet weather, please minimise going on and off site as much as possible to reduce damage to the all-grass site. If you need assistance, be aware of your designated towing point. 8 Showers, toilets & water We provide token-operated hot showers, flushing toilets and free hot pot washes. Water bills have risen significantly, so we kindly ask you to consider your water usage. Please don't allow your children to play in the toilets. If you require a sink wash, please fill a container from the hot pot sink and wash in your own accommodation. Free composting toilets are available on both sites.
• Wi-Fi The campsite does not have Wi-Fi, due to the prohibitive installation cost. Most campers use mobile Wi-Fi instead — check with your provider before you arrive.
• Filling water containers Due to meter charges we cannot fill motorhome water tanks; we can only fill roller or hand containers.
• Electric hook-up pitches EHU pitches - Are metered on site at £1 per kWh. If not pre-paid, a £20 electricity deposit is taken on arrival, £6 of which is a non-refundable standing charge. Any overuse must be paid at check-out, and any unused balance will be refunded. (Glamping pods, also take a £50 damage deposit on arrival)
• Pitching your tent for fire safety, position your tent with the access door facing the entrance to the pitch. This ensures quick access in the case of a fire, an accident or illness; pitched the other way, you may block rescue efforts. And don't forget — sound travels.
• Day visitors on site who are not included in a booked pitch are charged £4 per person and must be signed in for insurance purposes. No day visitors on bank holidays.
• No disposable BBQs are not permitted anywhere on our sites.
• Rubbish & the waste service There are no bins on site. Campers who need a waste collection service pay a waste service donation of £2 for Large 2 clear bags, available at check-in — no cardboard or broken camping items, so please only bring what you require. Payable at check-in if needed. Only bring what you need, to save the planet.
• Cancellation policy No deposit refunds. No refunds or amendments will be accepted within 7 days of the arrival date (winter bookings only) No refunds or discounts are offered for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures. The site is not responsible for any refunds in the case of force majeure.
