Super proud of Robert Brand and his rugby achievements 🏉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Huge congratulations to NBHS pupils — Noah Davies, Robert Brand and Zach Botes — on their selection to the South of Scotland Rugby U16 Summer Squad 2026.

This follows months of regional PDH training and a competitive gameplay festival against Borders and Edinburgh squads.

We also recognise NBHS pupils Ben Ferguson and Charlie O’Brien for their strong involvement throughout the PDH programme and festival.

A fantastic achievement — well earned, and both NBHS and NBRFC are proud of the boys and their efforts. Wishing the selected players the very best as they progress into the summer programme.

I’m such a proud mum watching him grow into an awesome young man. Kind, funny, and full of life, he makes every day brighter. So lovely seeing him happy, especially with his beautiful girlfriend by his side, and what a gorgeous family night celebrating together.

Hoardweel Waygu Beef now at Brand’s Larder 🥩

We’re so excited to announce that we are now stocking Hoardweel Wagyu beef from Duns, in the Scottish Borders.

We’ve got a delicious small selection available in the farm shop, including burgers, cubed beef, mince, and beautiful sirloin roasts — all absolutely incredible quality.

Hoardweel Wagyu was founded by the lovely Elaine and David, who have spent nearly 30 years farming in the Scottish Borders with their family.

Over time, they’ve consciously moved to smaller herd to focus on farming that’s better for the animals, the environment, and themselves — producing sustainably raised, free-range, grass-fed Wagyu that is as ethical as it is mouth-wateringly good.

(And yes… it’s been thoroughly taste-tested and approved by our family! 😋)

A big thank you to Elaine, who very kindly delivered our first order — it’s now available in the farm shop for you to enjoy and orders can be taken for future deliveries.

We’re open 7 days a week, 10am–4pm pop in and give it a try!
