Did you know that paddleboarding has a history that stretches back much further than the inflatable boards you see bobbing around our lakes today?

The story starts in Polynesia, where people have used boards and paddles to travel and navigate the water for centuries. The practice evolved through Hawaiian surfing culture, where standing on a board with a paddle became a way for surf instructors to get a better view of the waves and their students.

Fast forward a few decades andpaddleboarding has become one of the fastest-growing watersports around - and now you can have a go right here at Blackland Farm!
