Hesmonds Oast Lodge is situated at one end of the owners' iconic Oast House, parts of which date back to the late 18th century. The Lodge is tucked away - private and totally self contained. The accommodation has a lovely sunny open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is modern, well equipped and fitted with high quality appliances. ors which open out to its very own large patio garden. Perfect for entertaining, the garden gets the afternoon and evening sun, with stunning sunsets as the lodge is west facing. So you can have a BBQ and watch the sun go down. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower room. The twin room has two full size single beds and an en suite bathroom with a shower over bath. Both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space to hang clothes or tuck away suitcases. All in all a fantastic base from which to explore all Sussex has to offer. Guest Access

The accommodation is totally private but the family owners live just next door. So as much or as little interaction as required. The Neighbourhood

This two bedroom Lodge is perfect for a family or for two couples sharing. It's just a short 5 minute walk from the center of the village. East Hoathly has a pub, a lovely gift shop / cafe. Both of which serve lovely food should you wish to eat out or mingle with the friendly locals. The village also has its own shop and post office plus other small businesses including a busy hairdressers. Getting Around

Situated only 30 minutes drive inland from Brighton and Eastbourne. Only 15 minutes from the historic town of Lewes and 10 minutes from the famous Glyndebourne opera house. Although do recommend you have a car to explore Sussex, the village is well served by an hourly bus route to Eastbourne and Uckfield with connecting train services to London. From Uckfield station, London Bridge is just over an hour away by train. Other Things to Note

Many great walks and cycling routes can be accessed near by. The Wealden Way, the South Downs Way and the Cuckoo trail are just some of the great ones to explore. House Rules
We request that any smoking is to be done outside and extinguished in the ashtrays provided. We welcome a maximum of two well behaved, toilet trained dogs for an extra cleaning charge per stay. The garden has a secure fence. However we request that they be kept off the soft furnishing, remain downstairs, you pick up any dog mess from the garden and that you don’t leave them alone in the cottage for long periods of time. Young children and babies very welcome. A travel cot or other baby equipment can be provided upon request.
