If you’ve just found us, welcome! Pull up a chair (or a camp chair). Here’s everything you need to know. 🌿

Cedar Valley is a glamping and camping escape tucked into the Bereleigh Estate in Hampshire’s Meon Valley. We’re surrounded by rolling farmland, sweeping views across the South Downs, and the kind of quiet that reminds you it still exists.

It started with a family farm, a big idea, and a 1960s Bedford horsebox. More than a decade later, it’s grown into something we’re super proud of: cedar-clad cabins nestled on the woodland edge, a safari tent beneath the oaks, spacious camping fields in manicured grounds, and - our sun-soaked gathering place where wood-fired pizza, great drinks, and a festival atmosphere come together under the beech trees.

It’s the kind of place where the kids run free, the adults actually switch off, and nobody’s in a hurry to leave.

Close enough to London and the South Coast to be an easy escape. Far enough away to feel like a world apart.

Swipe to see what’s waiting for you. 🍕🌲✨

There’s always that one message….

“Shall we actually book something?”

At first, it’s tentative - diaries come out, someone can’t do Friday, someone else needs to check with work...

But then, slowly, it comes together.

And before you know it, you’re arriving down a country lane - bags being unpacked, kids already disappearing into the trees.

Mornings start slowly here with coffee on the deck, and fresh air that makes you pause a little longer than usual.

Afternoons drift between doing nothing and everything - walks, laughter, food that somehow tastes better outside.

And in the evenings, you gather again around the fire under a million stars.

The kind of conversations that only happen when no one’s in a rush to be anywhere else.

Some stay in Oaks.
Others in Firs or the Cowshed.

The best part?

You’re together when you want to be… and have your own space when you don’t.

And if the group grows (because it always does), there’s room for that too. A few extra tents in the field and around the fire isn’t a problem here.

Midweek, though - that’s when it really works.
Quieter. Better value. Like the whole place is yours.

The kind of trip that actually lives up to the group chat.

April has a way of transforming the landscape.

A passing shower, and suddenly the air feels clearer. Light bends differently, colours deepen and rainbows appear where there were none just moments before🌈

Clouds part just enough for golden light to spill through, turning new wet leaves into something luminous.

And in the quiet of early morning, a soft mist settles low among the trees - the earth gently releasing yesterday’s rain back into the air.

It’s the beauty of contrast, change and everything feeling just a little more alive 💚

And here, it’s not something to watch from behind glass.

It’s warm water under open skies while rain drifts through the canopy and steam rises to meet the cool air. A deep soak as the last of the clouds break into sunset.

The quiet luxury of being completely immersed in it all.

From outdoor showers beside the cabins, to jacuzzis at dusk, to slow mornings with Betty the Bedford… this is April, as it’s meant to be felt.

Not something to wait out 🌦️
Something to step into 🚿

There’s a funny thing that happens when children spend the whole day outside....

It’s the kind of childhood many of us remember, and the kind worth giving to the next generation.

The campfire is crackling, the last marshmallow has been eaten, and the kids who spent the whole day running through fields, climbing trees and making new friends suddenly go very quiet.

Not because they’re bored, but because they’re exhausted in the best possible way.

Fresh air all day, staying outside until the sky fills with stars. And suddenly… bedtime becomes the easiest part of the day.

Planning your first camping trip of the year? Our campsites reopen 24th April, ready for another season of campfires, starry skies and tired little adventurers.

The Cowshed Cabin is less about retreating and more about gathering the family together - no screens, no distractions, just you, your rabble and the great outdoors!

It’s the kind of place where boots are kicked off at the door and forgotten.

Where the old bale wagon, now warmed by a woodburner, becomes the heart of everything.

Supper simmers gently while glass doors stand wide open, children racing past in the last of the light.

Across the way, the converted cowshed offers hot showers and the simple comfort of warmth after a day spent exploring fields and hedgerows.

Later, flushed cheeks and grass-streaked knees climb into bunks, and when darkness settles, the grown-ups move instinctively towards the fire pit at the woodland’s edge, where glasses clink and laughter rises into the night as stars appear, one by one.

A place to switch off from the world - and switch back on to each other.

The Cowshed welcomes guests again from 27th March (it sleeps five!)

The hares always seem to sense it first.

Long before the calendar turns, before the clocks shift forward and the evenings stretch thin with light. They appear in the fields - restless, bright-eyed, moving with sudden bursts of energy across the grass.

There’s a particular kind of magic to these final weeks of cosy season….

There’s still the odd frosty morning, breath visible in the air, and walks taken slowly with hands tucked snugly into pockets.

But something is shifting.

The light lingers a little longer on the hedgerows.
The hares chase and box in the fields, wild and certain that spring is almost here.

Soon we’ll trade firelit nights for golden ones, thick socks for bare feet in the grass.

Until then, there’s a small window left - a handful of dusks, a few more mist-laced mornings, when evenings still call for a full-bodied glass of red next to a crackling fire.

If you’ve been meaning to come before the cosy season ends, there’s still time… but not much.
