September is a fantastic time to come to the farm, it's quiet, the children have gone back to school, and we think the 2 best months here are June and September.

Miles of Walks, Lincoln's crowd's have gone, The colours of the trees at Clumber Park are amazing, what's not to like!

Great job by our seasonal customers Bev and Nick for organising the annual MacMillan fundraiser 👍👍🙏🙏

Step Inside Britain’s Most Beautiful Waterworks! ⚙️✨

Tucked away in the Nottinghamshire countryside sits Papplewick Pumping Station—a stunning masterpiece of Victorian engineering and pure industrial luxury.

Built in 1884 to supply clean water to Nottingham, Papplewick isn't just a functional station; it’s a palace of steam. Think towering James Watt & Co. beam engines, ornate stained glass, hand-carved mahogany, and gilded ironwork that makes you feel like you’ve stepped onto a movie set.

Why you need to visit:
💨 In Full Steam: On official steaming weekends throughout the year, the massive boilers are fired up, setting the giant beam engines into silent, majestic motion.
Papplewick Pumping Station
🕳️ Underground Reservoir: Descend beneath the surface into a vaulted brick underground reservoir that feels like a subterranean cathedral.

🌳 Beautiful Grounds: Explore the landscaped gardens, cooling pond, tea room, and children's play area.

To say the weather has been mad this year would be an understatement! Wet & cold Spring, so our flowers took weeks to get going.

The mower has probably done 10 hours this year! Just mind boggling. Most of May and June we are mowing twice a week..... Not this year.

Blackberry's for making Jam & Apple and Blackberry pie are now ready for harvest.... In August! - It's normally mid September. What is going on.

They are soooooo tasty tho. Bring a Tupperware container and get picking!
