🐾 One of our favourite views of Eastbourne! 💙

Madge is enjoying a little fresh air on the lower reaches of Beachy Head, with this beautiful view stretching all the way along the coast towards Eastbourne Pier.

There’s something rather special about Eastbourne at this time of year — quieter beaches, beautiful autumn sunshine and the freedom to enjoy the coast without the summer crowds.

Whether it’s a bracing sea swim, a beach walk with your four-legged friend or simply soaking up the views, October in Eastbourne can still feel like a little slice of summer. 🍂☀️

🌊 ONE OF THE GREAT WALKS ON THE SUSSEX COAST… 🥾

There are few better places to appreciate the sheer beauty of our coastline than Belle Tout Lighthouse, looking west across Birling Gap towards the Seven Sisters and Seaford. 💙

From here, you can set off along some of the most spectacular clifftop walking in the country — with the Seven Sisters, Cuckmere Haven and Seaford stretching out ahead, or head east towards Beachy Head and Eastbourne.

The National Trust has a number of walks around Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters, including the 4.4-mile clifftop route from Birling Gap to Exceat, taking in those iconic Seven Sisters views.

Or, for something shorter, the circular walk up to Belle Tout from Birling Gap is around 2 miles and takes in sweeping views across the coast and South Downs.

🌊 Good morning, Eastbourne! ☀️

If yesterday was anything to go by, summer definitely isn’t quite ready to say goodbye! 💙

Four of us (plus Madge, the office dog 🐾) headed down to Eastbourne beach yesterday for a swim — and with temperatures around 20°C, beautiful sunshine and calm seas, it was hard to believe we’re into October!

So, if you’re visiting Eastbourne over the next few days, make the most of these last little glimpses of summer before the weather turns cooler. A walk along the seafront, a dip in the sea, an ice cream… why not? 🍦🌊

And if you’re planning a visit later this autumn, Eastbourne is still a gorgeous place to escape to, whatever the weather.

⭐️ A LOVELY REVIEW FOR THE PINK HOUSE, LITTLE CHELSEA ⭐️

We love hearing what our guests think — and Jackie’s recent review of The Pink House is a lovely example of why we think Little Chelsea is such an interesting place to stay in Eastbourne. 💙

“We had a lovely week staying in The Pink House in the Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne.”

Jackie particularly loved the location — just on the edge of the town centre, with Little Chelsea’s independent shops and eateries on the doorstep, the railway station only a short walk away, and the seafront easily accessible on foot.

She even used the train to explore Brighton and Lewes, making the most of the excellent location without needing the car. 🚆

🐾🌊 IT'S A DOG'S LIFE IN EASTBOURNE! 🌊🐾

Especially when the tide goes out! 😍

Low tide reveals a whole different side to Eastbourne’s coastline — stretches of exposed sand, rocky pools to investigate and an abundance of interesting smells for our four-legged friends. 🐶

For a dog, it’s basically an adventure playground…

🌊 Rock pools to investigate
🪨 Rocks to scramble around
🌅 And some pretty spectacular coastal views thrown in!

Holywell, at the foot of Meads, is particularly lovely at low tide, with the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head providing the backdrop. The rock pools here can also be full of marine life.

And after all that exploring, there’s nothing better than a well-earned rest… preferably somewhere with a dog-friendly café nearby! ☕🐾
